- Implements physician orders, administersmedications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures andspecial tests, and document treatment as required by company policyand local / state / federal rules andregulations.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluatesdiagnostic tests to identify and assess patients'conditions.
- Assesses and evaluates patientneeds for, and responses to, carerendered.
- Applies sound nursing judgment inpatient care management decisions.
- Providesprimary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupationalinjuries and illnesses.
- Administersover-the-counter and prescription medications asordered.
- Collaborates with the nursing team tocreate a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Directsand guides ancillary personnel and maintain standards ofprofessionalnursing.
