About the Role
The Business Development Manager role is a player-coach role. As a manager your job is threefold : Lead a team of BDRs to create qualified opportunities for the sales team.
Train other members of the BDR team. Take on operational and administrative tasks to help the BDR team perform and exceed expectations.
You will be a source of knowledge and best practices amongst the BDRs, and will help to train, onboard, and mentor new BDRs with the help of the Sales Enablement team.
Hybrid Schedule : 3 days in-office / 2 days remote
Main Responsibilities
- Work with Sales Leadership to develop the BDR program and directly manage that team.
- Create and update the BDR Playbook.
- Ensure BDR Team members improve performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback.
- Plan for hiring and onboarding new BDRs.
- Train other members of the BDR Team to identify, contact, and create qualified meetings and / or opportunities.
- Identifying, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring sales talent and continually "raising the bar" with each new hire
- Work closely with the marketing and targeted specific areas and nurture campaigns.
- Work closely with Sales and other members of the Sales Leadership team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes.
- Collaborating with the other sales departments to ensure a smooth hand-off of new opportunities and reviewing the quality of sales opportunities on a regular basis.
- Work closely with Sales Leadership to identify key company accounts to develop.
- Work in collaboration with Sales Leaders and Marketing Managers to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to your team.
- Driving day-to-day activities and achieving team goals.
- Overall management of the Outreach Cadence Process.
- Measuring and reporting against KPIs, as well as creating reports as needed or requested by senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related fields or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two-years of sales leadership experience
- Demonstration of traits related to being self-motivated and driven.
- Self-awareness and a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Good communication skills.
- Energetic.
