Key ResponsibilitiesProcess insurance claims and follow up on unpaid or denied accountsReview and resolve payer rejections, denials, and perform appeals as necessaryPost payments and adjustments in the system, and resolve credit balancesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentTwo years of progressively responsible and related work experienceKnowledge of accounts receivable software systems and medical billing operationsFamiliarity with medical reimbursement policies and medical terminologyUnderstanding of the payer landscape, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
