Physician - Hospitalist (Nocturnist) - OMC Jeff Hwy (New Orleans, LA)

• Position Highlights* : * Dedicated swing and night hospitalist team with three physicians (2 swing, 1 nocturnist), two advance practice providers, multiple resident physicians, growing to add an additional attending physician.
• This nocturnist role is a second nocturnist who will work simultaneously with our lead nocturnist and swing team to provide care for hospitalized adult patients.
• Large, well-established department with 60 physicians and 16 advance practice providers who care for approximately 250-300 patients daily.
• Clinical duties include inpatient and observation admissions, cross-coverage of inpatients, emergent overnight consults, and supervision of Internal Medicine residents.

Triage of admissions is performed by the lead nocturnist on duty.* Closed ICU, dedicated ICU code blue team 24 / 7, dedicated rapid response team, 24 / 7 procedural support.

• 24 / 7 hospitalist transfer physician at Patient Flow Center to take transfer requests, who provides documentation and handoff for the receiving physicians.
