Accounting Manager

We are seeking a Accounting Manager to join our Business Administration Team who is dynamic, personable, inquisitive and well-spoken with a dedication to excellence with an ownership attitude.

Responsibilities :

• Train, develop and manage several members of the accounting department
• Responsibility for monthly and annual closing of all business lines, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
• Ensure all recurring tasks are completed on a monthly basis
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, fixed assets, account reconciliation and operational cash management
• Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger and Financial Statements
• Participate in the ongoing development & establishment of accounting policies and procedures including the review and implementation of process and system changes
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
• Assist with tax return preparation and compliance, including the preparation of sales / use tax returns
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses and special projects, as needed

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• CPA and / or MBA is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Exceptional analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve accounting issues, risks, and opportunities
• Clean driving record with no drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years;

No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5 year period. Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring

Minimum 3 years of licensed driving history

Additional Requirements :

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to train and develop staff
• Ability to work 100% on-site

Compensation

• Starting rate $90,000 - $110,000
• The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, and education when applicable.
