The Job :
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Insurance Platform team, which builds APIs for underwriting and managing insurance policies.
You will lead projects, influence architectural choices, and mentor junior engineers.
You will :
- Provide technical leadership
- Design, build, and maintain OpenAPI-based APIs with microservice architecture
- Work on core infrastructure for our Insurance platform
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand workflows and create solutions
- Set technical direction and support the team in achieving goals
- Ensure consistent engineering standards across teams
You may be a good fit if you :
- Have 7+ years of development experience and 1+ years leading large-scale projects
- Have experience building distributed systems and APIs
- Are proficient in Node, TypeScript, or Ruby
- Have experience with Postgres or relational databases
- Possess exceptional communication skills
- Understand software engineering best practices
- Have experience with various architectural patterns
