To be a successful Backend Developer with GCP Vertex AI experience, you will embody GBSI's core employee characteristics of being passionate about IT, taking full ownership of your work & having a growth mindset.

Additionally, you will exhibit strategic vision, thoughtful engagement, strong analytical / process skills, a bias for action, and the ability to partner with senior operational leaders.

Work you'll do / Responsibilities (Key Responsibilities) :

Backend Server & SDK Development :

• Develop and maintain backend servers and SDKs using Go, gRPC, Java, and Python.
• Design, implement, and optimize server-side logic and database structures.
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from front-end elements.

GCP Vertex AI :

• Utilize GCP Vertex AI components and SDK for machine learning and deep learning model development and deployment.
• Integrate AI / ML solutions into existing applications and workflows.
• Optimize and maintain AI models to ensure their accuracy and efficiency.

React UI Development :

• Develop user interfaces using React to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs.

Qualifications :

• Proficiency in backend programming languages : Go, gRPC, Java, Python.
• Strong experience with GCP Vertex AI components and SDK.

Experience :

• Proven experience in backend server and SDK development.
• Hands-on experience with GCP Vertex AI for ML / DL projects.
• Practical experience in developing and maintaining React applications.

What qualifications you need :

BS Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience (required)

What will give you an edge :

Solid knowledge of React for UI development.

Location Preference :

Remote with the flexibility to relocate to San Jose if required.
