Vice President of Finance - U.S. Energy

The Vice President of Finance for U.S. Energy provides strategic direction for all financial functions within the division and serves as a key member of both the Corporate Finance and Divisional Leadership teams.
This individual is responsible for directing, planning, and managing the accounting, financial and information systems of the division and interacts with and advises members of the leadership team on the financial impact of operational decisions.
The VP of Finance leads and / or provides support for business acquisitions and subsequent integration into current operations and is responsible for establishing, coordinating, and maintaining an integrated plan for the control of operations regarding budgets, forecasts, operational planning, and other financial aspects of the division.
Additionally, this individual is responsible for measuring performance against business plans and budgets, and for interpreting and making recommendations for operational improvements and increasing departmental profitability.
This position will be located at our downtown Appleton, WI office 222 W College Avenue, Appleton, WI 54911 .
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the development and implementation of strategic business and operational plans, projects, programs, and systems
- Collaborates with Directors and Managers to identify and / or provide support to planning and growth initiatives through financial and management information analysis, reports and recommendations
- Participates in the negotiations, due diligence, purchase, and subsequent integration into current operations of business acquisitions
- Oversees the coordination and development of business plans and budgets
- Develops, implements, and maintains accounting systems and procedures necessary to promote profitable operations, safeguard company assets and compliance with applicable regulations
- Assists in planning and management of division information systems and modifications
- Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and reports to the Board of Directors.
- Hire, coach and develop a strong, high impact team that serves as a strategic business partner to divisional leadership and operations
- Communicate and collaborate with corporate and other division associates on company policies and procedures
- Identify and / or support interdivisional opportunities for growth and process efficiencies

QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
- 4 year accounting / finance degree
- Minimum 15 years of broad accounting experience and demonstrated leadership experience
- Proven leader with high professional ethics and unquestionable integrity
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work with a diverse organization where group interaction, communication, and human relations are critical
- Good decision maker who is well organized and can prioritize and plan ahead
- Excellent communicator and listener who is assertive yet personable and flexible
- Advanced knowledge of information technology
