This role, a Cloud Engineers plays a crucial role in helping organizations leverage the benefits of cloud computing, such as scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency, while ensuring the security and reliability of their cloud-based systems.

This role's responsibilities include planning, designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services within an organization.

Job Description

  • Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Modifying and improving existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Managing Azure Subscription boundaries and related costs.
  • Designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based resources.
  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
  • Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Participating in release management for awareness and to assist with deployments where segregation of duties between DEV and PROD are required.
  • Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Interacting with infrastructure and AppDev teams, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on business needs.
  • Develop and deploy Azure Policy
  • Engineer cloud migration solutions to move on-prem resources to Azure.
  • Assist with engineering solutions related to migration of accounts / resources to / from on-prem and cloud (O365 / Azure) tenants.

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science or a similar field preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of cloud computing.
  • Experience with CI / CD systems.
  • Azure certifications preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Office 365 and related collaboration tools.
  • Experience managing and administration of Azure and O365 tenants
  • Experience with Enterprise change / release management practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Experience and strong technical skills with PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Experience configuring Kubernetes clusters (and other Azure Microservices) in managed and unmanaged environments.
  • Experience with Networking / Load Balancing / Firewalls
  • Experience with Enterprise and Cloud based PKI services, SSL certificate management.
  • Have a strong understanding and experience with more "traditional" Microsoft products, such as Windows Server, Windows, IIS, SQL Server, etc.
