SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Empire Technological Group DBA Aruze gaming Global is looking to add a Senior Accountant to our team!

Responsibilities :

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, fixed asset rollforward, among others.
• Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts and timely completion of all closing processes.
• Review financial data to ensure accurate and complete information for financial reporting purposes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements as delegated.
• Assist in the preparation of variance analysis to explain differences between actuals and budget / forecast particularly for accounts the senior accountant owns.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies in financial reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including cash, receivables, payables, fixed assets, intercompany balances, debt, among others.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in account reconciliations.
• Ensure proper supporting documentation for reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
• Support SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance efforts, if applicable, by ensuring proper documentation of financial processes and controls.
• Research and interpret technical accounting guidance to support the treatment of complex transactions as delegated.
• Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and changes in accounting policies.
• Participate in special projects such as system implementations, process improvements, account clean ups, and mergers or acquisitions.
• Work closely with FP&A, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and support business initiatives.
• Provide insights and analysis to management on financial results and trends.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Skills / Abilities :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred / required. Finance or other business fields will be considered with relevant accounting work experience.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is preferred.
• External Audit experience with Big 4 or other national firms is highly desired.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment, preferably in a global company and / or in the gaming industry.

Direct from public accounting firm experience will be considered.

• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g.,SAGE, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in Datarails is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills to interact with various departments and levels of management.
