Who We're Looking For

This role serves as the company General Counsel and the leader of the global Legal team, in addition to being a significant member of the Senior Leadership Team.

As top in-house legal executive, responsible for setting global legal strategies and functional plans for the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing all legal matters pertaining to the organization, including patent, copyright, intellectual property and employment law matters and the coordination of any legal matters handled by outside counsel.
• Develops functional plans for managing legal matters, including activities to be performed in-house or through third-party relationships to best manage the company’s legal activities and minimize risk for the business.
• Responsible for Customer and contract negotiations with the objective of getting a contract signed expeditiously while protecting the Company.
• Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management.
• Set internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors.
• The SVP General Counsel must be aware of everything significant going on in the business, ask tough questions, and ensure that the right thing is being done for customers and the Company.

Experience, Education, and Certifications :

• Juris Doctor degree from accredited, top-tier law school.
• 15+ years of experience working with relevant legal matters in the technology or telecommunications industry.

Additional Requirements :

• Proven general counseling experience in business environment.
• Overall broad legal knowledge (corporate law, litigations, labor law, etc).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to businesses.
• Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality.
