SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Associate will serve as a Business Analyst / Project Coordinator in the Planning Support Unit on moderately complex Information Technology projects.

The Information Technology Associate will work with customers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Product Owners (POs) to elicit, define, and document their business needs and requirements and work with technical staff to find and recommend IT solutions that will meet these business needs and requirements.

The Information Technology Associate will coordinate internal IT projects, negotiating between business and IT needs to solve issues, problems, and exploit opportunities.

The Information Technology Associate will evaluate new IT solutions and test changes to current solutions. Information Technology Associate will find creative ways to promote, communicate and train users on new IT solutions and changes to existing solutions.

The incumbent must be capable of working in a team environment, effectively communicating to all levels of staff and stakeholders, following instructions, and accepting feedback and changes from others.

The incumbent must be willing to adapt to changing environments and new technologies in order to keep current with industry standards.

This position requires the incumbent communicate effectively and professionally (both orally and in writing); develop and maintain knowledge and skill related to specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools and equipment;

complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner; and adhere to all departmental policies and procedures. The incumbent also exhibits flexibility in being able to respond to shifting priorities and unanticipated work activities.

Working Conditions

If the employee is working at an alternate work location during telework, they are required to maintain a safe working condition at the approved site, abide by the Departments Telework Policy and Ergonomic Policy, and agree to maintain a distraction-free remote work environment.

Further, employees are required to be available through various forms of communication during work hours.
