Maintenance Technician II

Position Schedule :

• 3rd Shift, Sun-Thur, 10 : 30pm-7 : 00am or 8 : 30pm-7 : 00am
• Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays.

Position Pay :

Hourly Pay : $22.00 - $36.00 DOE

Responsibility :

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.

Job Duties :

• Must be aware of and comply with related ISO / IATF procedures, as applicable.
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Provide technical assistance on new or existing equipment.
• Understand and carry out routine written and oral instructions and work with little or no supervision.
• Complete stock requisitions to maintain maintenance supply inventories.
• Recommend and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Perform Confined Space Entries following all necessary procedures and policies.
• Assists in the removal of snow (shoveling, snow blowing, salting, truck plowing etc.).
• Is trained and participates as a member of the Company’s Fire Brigade Team and First Aid Team.

Education / Skill Requirements :

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum three years of related experience and / or training in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess high mechanical ability and a working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, welding, soldering, and other related skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English both written and orally.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no violations.

Physical Demands :

• Position requires individual to be capable of working throughout the facility, within reasonable accommodation.
• Frequently required to walk and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms;

and climb or balance.

• Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 lbs.
