Overview
The banquet server is responsible for being the face of our Catering and Events department and responsible for our members’ experiences.
Banquet server responsibilities include ensuring the event space and service areas are clean, well-stocked and ready for service always, presenting menus and serving food and beverages.
You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite, professional, and friendly attitude.

Responsibilities
- Prepare event spaces and service areas with special attention to sanitation and order
- Remain member focused and attend to members immediately upon arrival
- Present event specific menus and help members select food / beverages
- Serve food to include running food, bussing and resetting tables
- Answer questions or make recommendations for food and beverage products
- Collaborate with Banquet Manager, Banquet Captains, other servers and kitchen / bar staff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Be flexible and can work in different areas of the club when needed
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements :
- Previous serving or restaurant experience preferred
- Previous banquet, catering, and / or event experience preferred
- People Person / Outgoing; Positive can-do personality
- Flexibility working weekends including Sunday, evenings, and holiday(s) a must
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Predictable and reliable attendance is required.
Physical & Environmental Demands
- Ability to be on feet for up to 100% of the prescribed shift
- Ability to lift fifty pounds, able to stand, bend, stoop, twist and turn for prolonged periods of time.
- The position will require working inside and outside various times of the year
