STAFF ACCOUNTANT - Jamaica, Queens
Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant for an immediate full-time opportunity in our General Accounting Department.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting monthly and year-end closing processes. Base Salary $75K - $85K
Key Responsibilities :
Perform assigned accounting tasks, reports, and analyses, delivering accurate and timely information for management review.
Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Track and manage fixed assets, construction in progress, capital leases, and prepaid assets.
Create and analyze supporting schedules for the general ledger, ensuring accuracy for monthly and year-end closings.
Perform various account analyses and prepare detailed work papers.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the medical or healthcare field.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
Familiarity with Infor software is a plus.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skill
