Land Accountant
As a Land Accountant working for Taylor Morrison, you will perform professional accounting work including the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and verification of financial records and related duties as required.
We trust that as a Land Accountant you will : (responsibilities)Prepare monthly journal entriesReconcile all balance sheet accounts including intercompany and bank accountsAssist in preparation and review of annual budget and quarterly updatesAssist with monthly analysis and reporting of financial statementsAssist with biweekly payroll including sales commissionsEnsure compliance with company accounting policies and proceduresAssist with internal and external auditors as neededYou are willing to perform other duties as assignedWhat you will need : (competencies, behaviors & attributes)AnalyticalCopes with PressureDelegation / EmpoweringIntegrity / TrustPositive Attitude / FunTime Management About you : You have at a minimum : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or have successfully completed the assigned TM360 Learning curriculum if applicable.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field preferredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practicesHomebuilding / job costing experience preferredComputer literacy, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft ExcelAbility to work independently in a fast paced dynamic environmentStrong analytical skillsFLSA Status : Non-ExemptWill have responsibilities such as : This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.
