Pay starting at $35.00 per hour, based on experience
Monday - Friday 5 : 30 AM - 2 : 00 PM : Approximately one Saturday per month
The position has responsibility and accountability for performing all preventative, on-demand and improvement maintenance activities at Envigo RMS LLC - Teklad Custom and Standard Diet production facilities. Additionally, the position is responsible for the upkeep, on-going maintenance and improvement of safety and security equipment. This position reports to the Teklad Maintenance Manager position or designee.
Actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of the facility's health & safety program
Perform safe, timely and cost-effective preventative maintenance for all building, grounds and equipment in compliance with established quality management system and facility's health & safety program
Perform safe, timely and cost-effective repair of buildings and repair and replacement of equipment on-demand
Trouble-shoot (mechanical, HVAC and electrical) and repair process equipment function safely and timely to ensure equipment availability for use - possess experience and apply effort to perform trouble-shooting with high-degree of independence
Practice effective communication with production, shipping and receiving employees regarding equipment or building repair schedules, completion and equipment availability for use
Possess confidence, patience and communication skill to train other maintenance technicians and selected production co-workers in preventative and repair maintenance work
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Three + years of electrical, HVAC and mechanical industrial maintenance work experience within a manufacturing work environment
Industrial Maintenance professional designation including state recognized trades such as Industrial Mechanic / Millwright, Master Electrician preferred
Bachelor's degree or other advance degree in engineering helpful but not needed

Accomplished oral and written communication skills
Industrial maintenance hands-on work experience (multiple years) - electrical, mechanical, material fabrication, plumbing
Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians
Work independently with moderate supervision
Continuous improvement - Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO quality system environment
Microsoft Office Suite - user skills
Mathematic skills that include geometric and volumetric calculation ability
Aptitude to comprehend solid and liquid process flow
Physical mobility :
Ability to lift up to 50 lb. objects to shoulder height
Ability to climb and descend stairs and vertical ladders
Ability to enter designated confined spaces to perform inspection and repair work
