About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Procedural Recovery - Interventional Radiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 4x10s - Four 10-hour shifts per week Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : - 1 year of experience required- Experience in Interventional Radiography, Neuro and Vascular, ER / Critical Care License : - Current RN License from the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures- Ability to work effectively as part of a team- Good verbal and written communication skills- Some computer skills- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred- Travel experience at a large hospital preferred Job Description : Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians during the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing manifestations and intervening when necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.- Deliver competent patient care and interact with family members to share care plans during hospital stays and at discharge.
- Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers, informing patients and families of hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff.- Perform other duties as assigned.
