Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years in a warehouse / production environment is preferred
- Must have a valid WI driver’s license (required for forklift operation) and be insurable
- Candidates must be in good physical condition and be able to remain on their feet for an extended period of time.
- An ability to use machines and software to track inventory along with good organizational and time management skills are critical.
- Material handlers must be able to process and follow written and spoken instructions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Picking orders from inventory
- Unloading, moving and storing materials between the production line, storage and shipping / receiving ensuring that there is no stoppage in the production line
- Operates forklift to move materials as appropriate
- Storing and stacking materials according to company standards
- Safely and effectively drives Company vehicle to transport materials between the production facility and relevant warehouse(s)
- Identifying and verifying parts
- Acts as the back up to the Logistics Coordinator during absences to ensure the integrity of the SQF system.
- Responsible for adhering food safety, cGMPs, employee safety, quality standards, sanitary practices and customer specifications
- Report any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Other duties as assigned
