Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a dedicated and personable Customer Service Representative to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
This role requires strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a Contract position located near Vernon Hills, IL.
Responsibilities :
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, and social media in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist customers with product information, order status, and general inquiries.
- Resolve customer complaints by identifying problems and finding appropriate solutions.
- Process customer orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
- Update customer accounts with order information, payment details, and any changes or adjustments.
- Coordinate with warehouse and shipping departments to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
- Prepare and submit reports on customer service activities and trends.
- Identify and escalate priority issues to the appropriate department or manager.
- Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved.
- Provide feedback to management on recurring issues and suggest improvements.
- Stay informed about product details, promotions, and company policies.
- Educate customers on product usage, benefits, and features.
- Assist in training new customer service representatives.
- Engage with customers to build long-term relationships and foster loyalty.
- Conduct follow-up calls or surveys to gauge customer satisfaction and gather feedback.
- Implement strategies to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in customer service software, CRM systems, and MS Office applications.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with difficult customers.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Details :
