Position Summary : The Registered Nurse Practice (RN) is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

The RN is responsible for Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician.

Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.

Assists in covering the front desk as required. Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.

Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to and consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent and resolve problems or concerns.

The RN Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS.

IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities.

It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia.

Licensed by the State to practice as a Registered Nurse.Current BLS / CPR certification required Work experience : Minimum of one to three (1-3) years working as a Registered Nurse required.

Three to five (3-5) years of related experience (preferred). Knowledge : General medical office proceduresKnowledge of medical documentation requirements for meeting quality incentives.
