What is the Institutional Liquidity Team responsible for?

The Institutional Liquidity Team supports our Western Asset Liquidity line of business consisting of US and Cayman domiciled funds with $50.

7 Billion in assets under management as of April 30, 2024. The Institutional Liquidity Team will provide dedicated and direct support to some of our most valued clients by assisting them with their business and account specific requests.

This team is also responsible for TA oversight of BNY Mellon and participates in reviewing various TA activities and functions to ensure accuracy of information and processing, compliance with appropriate procedures and regulatory requirements, and adherence to key performance indicators of the TA Service Level Agreement.

What is the TA Relationship Specialist responsible for?

The TA Relationship Specialist is a dynamic role that includes inbound calls from clients and business partnersas well asan array of oversight and administrative activities that support customer experience and Transfer Agent functions for US and Cayman Liquidity funds.

The Specialist will partner with internal and external business partners to ensure outstanding service that supports an overall exceptional customer experience.

As the team continues to evolve, the specialist will be encouraged to bring ideas for adding value to the services we provide and will be instrumental in implementing and supporting new activities and functions.

Since this role supports Cayman domiciled funds, written and verbal proficiency in English and Spanish as well as a FINRA Series 7 license are required.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a TA Relationship Specialist?

Operations & Service Delivery :

Answer varying levels of complex customer inquiries, independently diagnoses customer concerns / problems, and partners across various divisions to implement solutions to resolve escalated issues via inbound or outbound phone calls.

Identify customer's current and future needs and build relationships to proactively deliver an elevated customer experience.

Verify customer requests to ensure information is correct and in good order and take appropriate action. Process customer requests with moderate to high degree of complexity on TA business systems.

Review new accounts documentation in Spanish and English for accuracy and completeness.

Partner with the sales team for warm product leads, cross-promotion of campaigns, proactively identifies opportunities and makes suggestions that contribute to the satisfaction of service and operations goals.

Perform quality control activities to ensure quality and / or data integrity standards are met.

Apply information from communications regarding new products, industry environment and regulatory requirements to make decisions that are in the best interest of the customer, funds, and enterprise.

Possess and apply specialized knowledge of specific product lines, customers, firms, or processes.

Compliance & Risk Management :

Detect and assess potential signs of fraudulent and / or suspicious activity and takes appropriate action.

Aid team members in escalated situations to help mitigate risk.

Adhere to all fund and company policies, regulatory controls & requirements and provides knowledge / expertise to support Policy & Procedure and / or risk related activities.

Business Process Improvement :

Recommend and facilitate improvements to daily work based on knowledge of internal requirements, workflows, and continuous improvement concepts.

Represent Institutional Liquidity team on new projects or initiatives, provide subject matter expertise and influence actions / decisions of project team.

Collaborate to share ideas and leverage tools and resources.

Possess broader understanding of team members' and business partners' responsibilities and business objectives beyond team and region in which they work.

Peer Leadership :

Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to others.

Mentor peers and share subject matter expertise.

Support change management activities.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

2-4 years of client service and mutual fund related experience desired

Proficiency in English and Spanish required (written and verbal)

FINRA Series 7 required

Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information

Availability to work between 8 : 00am ET - 5 : 30pm ET

Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary-designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results.

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks.

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.

We expect the salary for this position to range between $55,000.00 - $66,000.00.
