Description :
We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team, providing support to students in grades K-8 for the remainder of the school year.
Candidates must hold a valid SLP license from the Colorado Board of Education.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs, ensuring appropriate accommodations and modifications are in place.
- Provide instruction tailored to the unique learning styles and needs of students in the classroom setting.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
- Collaboration : Work collaboratively with general education teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student development and learning.
- Behavior Management : Implement effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEP goals, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Certification Requirements :
- Valid teaching license issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) for Special Education.
- A valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license from the Colorado Board of Education (CBOE) is required.
Background Check :
Completion of a background check and clearance to work with children is mandatory.
Professional Development :
- Ongoing professional development in special education practices and compliance with state regulations may be required.
