Adelphi is looking to recruit a psychiatrist to work at a facility in Petersburg, Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide psychiatric services to diverse individuals and will be exposed to a broad range of psychiatric pathology with a varied mix of acuity and complexity.

Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments / evaluations of psychiatric illnesses.
- Psychiatric medication evaluation and management in accordance with rational psycho-pharmacological practices.
- Document response to treatment; enter orders for diagnostic tests, medications, and other therapies.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide psychiatric services to patients.
- Timely completion of medical record documentation in accordance with the state ACT Model, DMAS, and CSB policies, procedures, regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Coordination and continuation of the care for patients in adherence to state and federal guidelines and discharge planning.
