Industrial Mechanic - Unlimited OT Available

Title : Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Hardscape Manufacturing

Location : Marengo, IL 60152

Hourly : $30 - $35 + Overtime (Unlimited)

Founded in 1972 we are 700 employee hardscape manufacturer specializing in concrete pavers & retaining wall systems for residential, commercial & municipal landscaping projects. We are credited with inventing concrete paving stones to the United States and have held a steady flow of business these past 50 years. For our 100,000 sqft facility in Marengo we're looking to hire multiple Industrial Maintenance Mechanics who can work on hydraulics, build brackets, do some cutting / torching / welding and troubleshoot sensors & switches.

What You Will Be Doing

Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including hydraulic systems, conveyors, and mixers
Fabricate and install custom brackets and supports using cutting, torching, and welding techniques
Troubleshoot and replace faulty sensors, switches, and mechanical components to minimize downtime
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety
Collaborate with electricians and production staff to support equipment upgrades and emergency repairs

What You Need for this Position

Strong hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and cylinders

Proficient in welding, torching, and metal fabrication, including bracket design and installation

Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting, especially with sensors, limit switches, and actuators

Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals

Familiarity with industrial safety protocols, lockout / tagout procedures, and basic electrical awareness
