Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the Administrative Director and in conjunction with the Medical Director, performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed Ultrasound examinations for diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.

Responsible for patient care, comfort and completion of required procedures. Is responsible for the assessment, treatment or care appropriate to the ages of the patients served : i.

e. Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs;

possesses knowledge of growth and development; and has an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups.

What qualifications you will need :

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Certification as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Current BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound School
• Successful completion of an ARDMS approved training
