What Your Day Will Look Like :

As a project controls specialist, you'll develop and manage project schedules and cost information, including budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and explanations of variances.

You'll monitor the project budget to ensure efficient resource use and track contracts, task orders, work authorizations, and purchase orders.

The project controls specialist reports to the project controls manager.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide first level review of invoices and process through system workflow.
  • Report findings and assist clients in negotiating time extensions.
  • Ensure project planning and schedule standards are implemented and that all project related activities comply with company standards.
  • Utilize scheduling software to analyze project schedules, review delay claims for time entitlement, and assist in resolving project disputes.

What You'll Need :

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum two years of construction project controls experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Primavera software.
  • This office job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines.

May occasionally be exposed to noise.

While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include constant sitting, talking, hearing, repetitive motions and occasional standing, moving, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and coordination.

This job will rarely require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over to 35 lbs.
