EMD Serono is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President (SVP), Head Global Medical Unity Oncology. This role involves providing high-level administrative support to the SVP and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
The position encompasses a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks, which will call on your ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism, the Executive Assistant will utilize flexibility and adaptability to proactively anticipate needs and provide solutions within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities : Administrative Support : Manage the SVP’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangementsPrepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documentsHandle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and mailMeeting Coordination : Plan, organize, and coordinate meetings, conferences, and eventsPrepare agendas, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action itemsEnsure the SVP is well-prepared for meetings with relevant materials and informationProject Management : Assist in the planning and execution of projects and initiatives led by the SVPTrack progress and provide updates on key projects and deadlinesStakeholder Management : Act as a liaison between the SVP and internal / external stakeholdersBuild and maintain positive relationships with key contacts and departmentsConfidentiality and Discretion : Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretionMaintain professionalism and a high level of confidentiality in all interactions This position may include occasional travel;

Who You Are : Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in any field with 5+ years of experience in an Executive Assistant role ORHigh School diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience in an Executive Assistant role Preferred Qualifications : Executive Assistant experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industryAdministrative experience supporting leaders at global organizationsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretionAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailKnowledge of industry-specific terminology and processes
