Role + Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer's responsibilities include developing quality control systems, assurance plans, determining corrective and preventive actions for processes.

Serve as positive role model for proper engagement with the QMS and utilizing quality improvement methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency in core and support processes.

The Quality Engineer will also work with organizational leadership at all levels to implement and maintain quality measures.

The ideal candidate must be a team player, able to be flexible with priorities, maintains a positive attitude, work collaboratively or individually as required to contribute to the success of the organization.

Essential Duties :

  • Ensures that Quality policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the Organization.
  • Collaborate across multiple departments to solve complex company-wide quality issues and ensure alignment of the QMS and company ethos.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other departments to implement quality planning, process flow diagrams, FMEA, risk management, inspection plans, and KPIs for key processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Serve as primary support to manufacturing and engineering in resolving product-related nonconformances.
  • Process owner of the material review and disposition process.
  • Ensure product containment practices are being followed.
  • Conduct new supplier evaluation and subsequent follow up process or system audits.
  • Support Purchasing to resolve quality issues with vendors.
  • Ensure calibrated instruments are being used and report any discrepancies as required.
  • Available for Customer / Supplier visits and audits as required.
  • Support document and record control of quality system processes.
  • Capable of training all levels of employees on quality and process improvement related topics.

Qualification + Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related Engineering field.
  • 5+ years' experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing facility.
  • Must have experience with ISO 9001 based quality system standards.
  • Certifications that demonstrate commitment to professional development i.e., ISO 9001
  • Experience in risk management, FMEA and process flow development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications :

  • Electrical, mechanical or manufacturing degree preferred.
  • ASQ CQA, CQE, CQ / OEM, CSQP, CPGP certification or equivalent.
  • Six sigma green belt and lean experience / certification.
  • Lead auditor certificate in ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949 or equivalent.
  • Experience in working in a GMP environment.
  • Knowledgeable with ISO 17025.

Travel Requirements :

Up to 10 %, domestic
