Here is a Glimpse at What you'll Do :

As an Electrical Engineer at Lantech, you will :

  • Apply electrical knowledge, including the development of schematic and panel drawings, BOM, and machine logic, as well as product changes and enhancements, to the design and development of Lantech products and in-house equipment.
  • Solve electrical problems from the component through the system level.
  • Provide design and technical support for the sales, procurement, manufacturing, and aftermarket service teams.
  • Occasionally, travel to customer sites to solve problems in support of current technical equipment and system integration issues (less than 5%).

What are We Looking For? (Requirements)

We are looking for someone who :

  • Has a demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis of electro / mechanical systems.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills.
  • Is a self-starter with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Has the ability to create schematics and panel plate drawings.
  • Has good working knowledge of electrical theory and industry practice.
  • Has the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment, and is able to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Has proven Industrial integration experience.
  • Possesses good communication / interaction skills.

    • Education & Experience :

  • Electrical Engineer : an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering is required.
  • Electrical Engineer : an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering is required.
  • Experience working with packaging equipment is preferred.
  • Siemens PLC and HMI experience is a plus.
  • NEC / NFPA experience is a plus.
  • Embedded Hardware experience is a plus.
  • AutoCAD experience is required.
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience designing and / or troubleshooting electrical controls for industrial equipment.

    • Desired Skills :

  • Strong C / C# / C++ skills are a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs required.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office suite is required.
