Veterinary Assistant

The ideal candidate for this position would be an energetic "people person" needed to provide ongoing communication with clients before, during, and after their visit.

Should be efficient in blood draws, patient restraint, communicating with clients, with RX identification / filling, has some experience capturing full-body radiographs, comfortable at SQ injections, knowledge of medical terminology, understand common conditions, treatments and medications, assist with follow-up appointment scheduling, build and discuss treatment plans, assist with financial transactions, a team player, good communication skills, and is willing to advance their skills through offered learning opportunities.

Ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience and ability to discuss financial obligations with clients as well as take a proactive approach to their own learning.

This person must possess a keen awareness of their surroundings and have a hospitable approach at all times. Ease with computer systems and knowledge of Excel necessary.

Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures desired, but not necessary; will train this aspect for an individual with excellent communication skills.

Will participate in the holiday schedule .

Shift Information : Four (4) weekday shifts and rotating Saturday shifts from 9am-1pm
