Security Professional - Healthcare Access Control Patrol

As a Security Professional - Healthcare Access Control Patrol in Rensselaer, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare environment, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service will support a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate vehicles as part of your duties. Pay Rate : $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Fri 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Sun 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the healthcare location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Assist in helping to deter unauthorized entry and / or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at key access points.
  • Provide customer service to all individuals entering or exiting the location, answering questions and offering directions as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and / or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support overall security-related operations and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
