Line Cook
We are actively hiring experienced cooks to become Line Cooks at Brick City Vegan. The duties of this combined position include :
Utility Team Member Responsibilities :
Prepare high-quality food by following recipes and special instructions
Prep fresh food daily
Cook menu items to order using a variety of kitchen equipment
Carefully read digital kitchen tickets (KDS)
Ability to meet designated ticket times
Work efficiently in a small space with other team members
Follow all food safety standards
Perform all opening and closing duties
Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen line throughout the shift
Preparing kitchen area for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations
Properly clean all kitchen equipment (fryers, griddles, ovens, coolers, etc.)
Unload and store deliveries, daily or as needed
Sweep and mop floors following all safety guidelines
Practice safe work habits to avoid injury to self and others
Supporting other team members by assisting with other tasks, as needed
Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and / or busy times.
Utility Team Member Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent
Maintain a professional appearance
Must have relative work experience
Be a team player and work as a team
Recognize the needs of the customer
Ability to follow a recipe
Knowledge of knife safety
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Exceptional time management skills
Able to maintain professionalism at all times
Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds
Willingness to comply with all food and safety procedures
