About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Operational Excellence to lead our newly formed Merchandising Operational Excellence team, focusing primarily on merchandising processes.

This role will spearhead enterprise projects and execute business process deployment plans to support our operational transformation, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction, program efficiency, and financial effectiveness.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. You will be driven by delivering high-quality, on-time solutions, applying appropriate risk management to drive results, and managing multiple demands simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Merchandising Operational Excellence team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Partner with product management, merchandising, supply chain, and other groups to drive project success and solve complex problems.
  • Optimize merchandising processes, including assortment transitions, SKU rationalization, and vendor selection methodologies.
  • Implement and leverage planning tools, systems, and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in merchandise planning.
  • Develop and communicate business strategies, progress, and action plans to stakeholders, driving execution across teams.
  • Manage the implementation of business solutions to streamline merchandising processes, continuously refining methodologies and leveraging cross-functional best practices.
  • Execute multiple business plans and projects by identifying stakeholder needs, developing priorities, measuring progress, and adjusting performance as needed.
  • Coach teams on Lean and Design principles, facilitating process mapping, waste identification, and customer-centric design decisions.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience in consulting, process improvement, or business operations, with a focus on merchandising.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of retail multi-channel merchandise financial planning, demand planning, assortment planning, replenishment, and allocation systems.
  • Certification in operational improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) or extensive experience applying these methodologies.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in building tools, collecting, and analyzing data.
  • Demonstrated enterprise mindset, big-picture thinking, and value creation abilities.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills across various organizations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $165,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
