Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Chattanooga, TN 37412 Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : August 27, 2025 End Date : November 26, 2025 Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130 Employment Type : Travel Nursing Unit : Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (travel nurse experience preferred) Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Experience with Meditech and Centricity electronic documentation systems preferred Ability to work 3 night shifts per week, including 1-2 winter holiday shifts if scheduled Strong clinical skills in labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a 9-bed labor room unit with 6 triage rooms, 3 antepartum rooms, and 3 operating rooms Perform cervical exams, intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) and fetal scalp electrode (FSE) placement, vaginal deliveries, IV starts with lab draws, and circulate / recover cesarean sections Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including OB techs, charge nurses, unit secretaries, and anesthesia providers Utilize advanced labor and delivery tools such as Jada, fetal pillow, Cook's catheters, and support innovative pain management options including nitrous oxide therapy Float to Mother Baby unit as needed (infrequent) Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech and Centricity systems Adhere to hospital policies, dress code (solid black, grey, or pink scrubs), and unit guidelines Join a hospital recognized for excellence in maternal healthcare and enjoy professional growth in a collaborative environment.
