About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $1372 To $1524 Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : OR Tech (Operating Room) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8H Days, 0630-1500, M-F, with call 1 night per week and 24 hours of weekend call per month Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Eligible for submission Certifications : BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Must-Have : Robotics experience, possibly with CVOR and C-section experience Job Description : Perform surgical duties in an 8-suite operating room, including 2 suites for CVOR.
- Assist in over 700 open-heart surgeries and nearly 2,400 orthopedic cases annually, including 350 joint replacements.- Work with a 1 : 1 ratio in various specialties such as general ortho, neuro, urology, appy, choly, and robotics.
- Required to have experience with scrubbing tasks.- Participate in a required call rotation with one night call per week and 24 hours of weekend call per month.
- Maintain a call response time of 30-60 minutes.- Scrubs provided by the department; adhere to dress code policy by wearing business casual or navy scrubs to work.
- Document cases using the Cerner Surginet EMR system.- Contribute to sterile processing with appropriate SPD certification.
- Undergo a maximum of 3 days of orientation before working independently.- Expected to work most holidays as per staff rotation.
- Collaborate with a charge nurse and other OR techs for seamless workflow.- Utilize equipment such as anesthesia monitors, vents, and auto-claving systems.
- Adhere to a cancellation policy allowing up to 3 cancellations per contract.
