Overview of the Fixed Asset / Cost Accountant Responsibilities :
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure expenses stay within budget, coordinating across departments to track Construction in Progress (CIP)
- Track and monitor fixed assets throughout the entire life cycle
- Ensure accuracy of asset specific information in the database
- Monitor capital spending and related cash flow
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations at month-end close
Preferred Qualifications for the Fixed Asset / Cost Accountant
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred
- Minimum three years of accounting experience
- Thorough understanding of project costing and fixed asset management
- Familiarity with a major ERP, proficiency with VLOOKUP's and pivot tables in Excel
- Enjoys working independently and creative problem-solving
The Fixed Asset Accountant role is fully onsite in Elkhart, Indiana.
The annual salary range is $46,850 - $55,000 depending on experience.
