Peck’s Flooring America in Kingston, MA is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant / Sales Support to join their team.

What We Offer :

  • Hourly Rate : $26 - $30 (based on experience)
  • Full Time : 40 hrs. / 5-day work week
  • Monday Friday : 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm
  • Must be able to work two Saturdays per month

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain product catalog & product pricing for all showroom displays
  • Order product, manage purchase orders & documentation, verify accuracy & resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate logistics & shipping arrangements of products
  • Expected to complete aspects of sales role :
  • provide outstanding service & determine design needs
  • keep up to date on the wide selection of products & services
  • providing sample suggestions
  • calculate number of materials needed for projects
  • create project estimate / proposal for client review
  • performing quality control throughout a project when necessary
  • Collaborate with sales team & assist on projects
  • Ensure strong client relationships are being built
  • Handle customer inquiries, orders, follow-ups & complaints professionally
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments & manage correspondence
  • Maintain accurate records & databases
  • Assist in marketing efforts by preparing promotional materials & managing social media accounts
  • Generate & follow up on leads

Desired Skills & Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven work experience as an Administrative Assistant, Office Management, Inside Sales, or similar role.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • A positive attitude and desire to exceed expectations
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Advanced time management & interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to customer’s & sales team’s needs
  • Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision or within a team setting
  • Knowledge of flooring & design industry a plus (Willing to train)
