About the Role

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who is passionate about solving challenging problems, thrives in ambiguous situations, and has a strong desire to innovate.

As a Backend Engineer at Voltai, you will be at the core of building and maintaining the systems that support our cutting-edge AI models and data infrastructure.

Your role will involve creating the world’s largest dataset for electronics and semiconductors, developing and integrating AI applications using LLM APIs, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our backend systems.

You'll work closely with our frontend and ML teams to bring groundbreaking AI solutions to the market.

Key Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain our backend system.
• Construct and manage the world’s largest dataset for electronics and semiconductors.
• Assist with data curation and cleaning processes.
• Implement AI applications utilizing LLM APIs.
• Develop Windows and Mac applications, as well as extensions.
• Integrate AI capabilities into various Windows and Mac-based software products.
• Collaborate closely with the frontend team to maintain and enhance our web application.
• Work with the ML team to serve their models effectively.
• Ensure the security and integrity of our product.
• Build integrations into ticketing systems and EDA tools.

Required Skillsets :

• Proven experience in building scalable backend solutions.
• Demonstrated success in product development.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, C++, and / or C.
• Exceptional system design abilities.
• Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem.

Bonus Points :

• Background in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience as an early engineer at a hyper-growth startup.

Compensation Philosophy

At Voltai, we believe that exceptional work deserves exceptional rewards. Our compensation structure reflects the value each team member brings to our pioneering efforts in the semiconductor and AI industries.

For this role, we anticipate the starting annual base salary to be within the range of $150,000 to $350,000, adjusted according to the candidate's experience, expertise, and impact potential.

The final offer may vary to ensure alignment with individual contributions and the long-term success of our mission.
