Western National is seeking an Enterprise Business Analyst Lead to join our team!
The individual in this role will lead our Enterprise Business Analyst Team across three main areas : data and integrations, print and workflow, and technology.
The individual in this role will set strategic direction to support both current and future initiatives and ensure a positive experience for our customers and the company.
What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?
- Proactively coaches, mentors, and advises to help elevate our vision of analysis practices.
- Leads the Enterprise Business Analyst Team in standardizing, applying, and optimizing requirement gathering and analysis practices across the teams.
- Partners with stakeholders to deeply understand customer problems and drive application of analysis techniques to support planning, solutioning, and business process efficiencies.
- Ensures the team delivers on our commitments and maintains a strong focus on achieving our desired outcomes.
- Fosters a high-performing, Agile-based culture of trust, teamwork, empowerment, accountability, responsiveness, and communication.
- Effectively integrates, motivates, and builds relationships with cross-functional team members, peer managers, sponsors, key stakeholders, and executives.
- Applies critical thinking, knowledge, and experience to help solve problems of broad scope and complexity.
- Maintains an up-to-date awareness of current and future initiatives and removes roadblocks and inefficiencies to support the enterprise teams and the organization.
- Hires, mentors, and manages the performance and professional development of the enterprise business analysts to be best-in-class at analysis practices, including planning, elicitation, communication, and collaboration.
- Participates in strategic planning, resource management, and capacity.
- Fosters integrity, trust, honesty, diversity and inclusion, equity, and fairness.
- Maintains an up-to-date awareness of industry trends, tools, and best practices.
- Participates in professional industry groups and advancements to communicate, develop, and incorporate best practices into our IT organization.
- Identifies and analyzes patterns from partial and / or conflicting data.
- Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards, including responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing the customer’s expectations, using the proper communication channel for the situation, and taking ownership to ensure the customer’s issue is resolved.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate?
- At least seven years of relevant experience in business analysis and project management.
- Demonstrated experience leading a high-performing team of analysts.
- Prior experience coaching or training in a formal setting is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of requirement gathering and analytical techniques, user journeys, and value stream mapping.
- Understanding of software design and automation (DevOps) patterns.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field of study, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to succinctly summarize key findings at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to serve as communication bridge between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Track record of thought leadership and outstanding expertise in analysis, problem resolution, and process improvement.
- Methodical and detail oriented with experience diving deep and asking the right questions.
- Possesses a 'can do' attitude driven by research, problem solving, and doing the best for our customers and company.
- Strong team player with outstanding communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Confluence and Jira (or similar Agile tracking tools) is preferred.
- IIBA or PMP designation is preferred.
- CPCU or similar industry certification is preferred.
Compensation Overview
The targeted hiring range for this role is $112,590 - $137,610, annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role.
Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and / or may be considered for other positions.
