• Other Details : A Pediatric Hospitalist is needed for one weekend of call coverage per month, with coverage from Friday at 5 p.m. to Monday at 7 a.m. Calls can be taken from home with a 30-minute response time, and the role includes coverage for the newborn nursery, ER, and inpatient med-peds unit. Inpatient volume is typically very low, with about one to two patients, the newborn nursery averages around five babies over the weekend, and ER coverage generally involves two to three calls per day that are often managed by phone. Rounding is required at least once daily on Saturday and Sunday, with additional in-person visits only if necessary. The provider must be able to intubate, place lines, and stabilize infants for transfer if needed, though circumcisions are not required. Candidates should be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatrics, and new graduates are welcome to apply. An active AR license is required, and candidates must be able to start within four to five weeks. Orientation is provided, all hours are billable, and vaccinations for COVID-19 and flu are required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed.
