VP, Head of Trading Technology - Digital Assets

Responsibilities

Drive innovation, performance, agility, and scale in trading technology.

Lead and mentor product-focused technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Engineering Oversight : Drive continuous improvement in development and deployment processes through CI / CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product functionality, user experience, platform stability and resiliency.

Organize team engagement around the agile operating model with a focus on building a culture of self-sufficiency and continuous delivery.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor's degree inputer science or related field required.

At least 18 years of software engineering experience with a majority of that in trading technologies.

Strong background in designing and delivering low latency trading systems.

Knowledge of WebSocket and FIX protocols.

Experience and knowledge in building matching engine, OMS / EMS or exchange-connectivity platform.

Experience in ultra-low latency design patterns and optimizing trading systems.

The Team

Fidelity Digital Assets , a Fidelity Investmentspany, is developing a full-service enterprise-grade platform for storing, trading and servicing digital assets, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Fidelity Digital Assets adopts an entrepreneurial culture and startup approach while serving as one of the most innovative business units within Fidelity Investments.

The Fidelity Digital Asset Trading Team is responsible for platform services and capabilities that manage trading of crypto currency.

The current platform contains a crossing engine and a smart router that would connect and send client orders to other exchanges and liquidity providers.

In addition to aggregating market data and routing orders the platform also includes multiple internal / external facing user interfaces and API and services to support the platform.

The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$262,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the totalpensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variablepensation.
