Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Pharmacy Technicians for both Order Entry and Fulfillment roles. This is an opportunity to join a closed-door pharmacy and focus on fulfilling the pharmaceutical needs of long-term care and senior living clients.

Hard Skills
- Triage, interpret, and input orders into a computerized medication order system
- Perform drug calculations including basic mathematical calculations
- Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
- Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims
- Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the supervision of a Pharmacist
- Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery
- Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
- Participate in periodic inventory of the pharmacy
- Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments
- Process returned medications for credit or destruction
- Operate in Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room
- Work with automated machines to prepack drugs
- Manage inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels
- Input patient data and medication orders into a computer system
- Mix / package IV medications and sanitize IV room, equipment, and hood
- Service facility-based medication dispensing machines
Soft Skills
- Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner
Work Environment
This role requires working both opening and closing shifts each week, including Sundays from 10 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM. Opening shifts are from 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM or 9 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, and closing shifts are from 10 : 00 AM to 8 : 30 PM.
Candidates need to complete online training modules prior to starting.
