Finish Carpenter

Location : Ames, Iowa

Job Type : Full-time

Shift : Monday - Friday / 7am - 4pm

Overview : We are currently hiring a skilled Carpenter with experience in both finish and rough carpentry for commercial construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile sites throughout the Ames area, including major installations at Iowa State University this summer. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks as directed by the site superintendent
  • Install casing, trim, window jamb extensions, and door lock sets with precision
  • Participate in both metal stud and wood framing projects
  • Ensure quality workmanship in both commercial and residential settings
  • Read and follow project specifications and blueprints
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site while adhering to safety standards

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on carpentry experience
  • Proficiency in commercial construction, finish carpentry, and trim work
  • Ability to install windows, doors, and lock sets accurately
  • Skilled in both metal stud and wood framing techniques
  • Strong understanding of carpentry tools, materials, and safety practices

    • Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
