Diesel Direct is Hiring Diesel Mechanics
East Providence, Rhode Island
Benefits :
- Hourly pay is $25 - $35 per hour based on experience
- Our mechanics average between $1,000 $1,400 per week
- This is a full-time position - 40 hours per week - overtime is possible
- Overtime pay is time and a half
- No weekends typically (unless required by company demand)
- Heated and cooled shop that is well-ventilated and very clean
- Company-provided uniforms
- Paid holidays and PTO
- PTO starts accruing after the first week at 2.0 hours a week until 40 hours then changes to .47 per week
- Medical, dental, vision, and 401K
Requirements :
- At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
- A CDL and hazmat endorsement is preferred, but not required
- Must have your own tools and be able to weld equipment as needed
- Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on equipment
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work meets the manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations
- The ability to work alone or as a team
