Job Title : VP of Enterprise Architecture
Job Summary :
The VP of Enterprise Architecture will lead the company’s architecture practice, playing a crucial role in defining, establishing, and implementing technical roadmaps and blueprints that will drive the company’s long-term technology strategy.
This role requires a combination of exceptional technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and strong business acumen.
The VP of Enterprise Architecture will ensure that the company's technology infrastructure aligns with and enables its business strategy.
As a member of the IT senior leadership team, the VP will work closely with business and IT leaders, making a significant impact on the future of the organization.
This is a remote position, open to candidates located throughout the USA, providing the flexibility to work in a collaborative and inclusive virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Enterprise Architecture Leadership :
- Lead the architecture practice, providing direction and thought leadership on the company’s technology frameworks and future technology landscape.
- Establish and manage technical roadmaps and blueprints to support current and future business needs.
- Ensure that technology decisions align with the organization’s overall business strategy and growth objectives.
Strategic Partnership & Collaboration :
- Collaborate closely with business and IT leaders to understand business goals, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring that technology solutions support these objectives.
- Serve as a key strategic advisor to the CIO and senior leadership team, contributing to the development of technology strategies that align with enterprise goals.
- Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders across business units to drive technology initiatives that enable digital transformation and operational efficiencies.
Technology Roadmap Development :
- Define and implement an enterprise technology architecture roadmap that provides the foundation for scalability, innovation, and flexibility.
- Oversee the development of architectural standards and frameworks that ensure scalability, security, and performance across the organization.
- Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Leadership & Team Development :
- Provide leadership and mentoring to enterprise architects and technical teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Cultivate a high-performing architecture team that operates efficiently in a remote environment.
- Lead cross-functional teams in delivering complex architecture solutions that span various technologies and business domains.
Governance & Compliance :
- Establish architecture governance processes and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices across all technology initiatives.
- Ensure that all technology solutions meet security, compliance, and data privacy regulations, particularly in highly regulated industries.
Remote Team Leadership :
- Thrive in a remote work environment, managing and coordinating teams and initiatives across different time zones and geographies.
- Leverage virtual collaboration tools to maintain strong communication, collaboration, and alignment with all stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in a senior-level enterprise architecture role, with a track record of successfully leading and developing architectural strategies in alignment with business objectives.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence senior leaders.
- Expertise in developing technology roadmaps and blueprints that align with long-term business strategy and growth.
- Deep understanding of enterprise technologies, cloud computing, software architecture, and emerging technology trends.
- Exceptional business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Strong ability to build and nurture relationships across the business and IT organizations.
- Experience leading architecture in a remote or geographically dispersed environment is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
