Job Description :

As a Fitter Welder, you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and welding metal components to create high-quality products.

You will work from blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to ensure precision and accuracy in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine the layout of metal components.
• Measure and mark cutting and welding lines on materials.
• Assemble and fit metal components according to specifications.
• Weld metal parts using various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform repairs and modifications on existing metal structures.
• Maintain and calibrate welding equipment and tools.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to the highest standards.
• Document all work performed and maintain detailed records.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in welding is preferred.
• Proven experience as a fitter welder.
• Proficiency in MIG.
• Strong knowledge of metal properties, welding symbols, and blueprints.
• Ability to use hand and power tools related to welding and metal fabrication.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various positions.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and tools.
• Capability to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and lying down.
• Willingness to work in different environments, such as outdoors or in a workshop.
