Contract Position

Responsibilities :

• Install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment.
• Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and / or field locations.
• Analyze and evaluate products and related performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
• Install, upgrade and remove products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
• Maintain effective customer communications and relations.
• May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
• Perform depot level repairs, modifications, refurbishments of specific components of the Modernized Target Designation Sight / Pilotage Night Vision System (M-TADS / PNVS).
• Perform solder to J-STD-001, IPC-7711 / IPC-7721 standards.
• Perform electrical rework / repair of cable harnesses, electrical wires, and circuit card assemblies.
• Operate automated or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) and uses knowledge of basic AC / DC theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics to conduct fault isolation of faulty components.
• Complete work IAW engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Component Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs)
• Document work in automated maintenance data collection systems IAW Apache Fire Control processes and procedures
• Perform test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, structural, hydraulic subsystems and complete systems.

Qualifications :

• High School diploma, or equivalent experience / combined education, with additional technical training sufficient to perform preventive and demand maintenance tasks and minimum of 1 Year of experience.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
• Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property
• Ability to work with hazardous materials
• Ability to mix and weigh chemicals
• Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors
• Ability to solder and repair cables and harnesses
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Desired Skills : Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711 / IPC-7721
