job_description.job_card.job_descriptionHigh school diploma or GED preferred. Must be at least 16 years old. Prior nursing assistant experience in long-term care is a plus. CNA certification required; training and certification will be provided if not already obtained. Complete yearly competency tests and maintain continuing education credits (12 hours annually). For applicable states, must be certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Life insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan. Shifts include 6 : 00 am - 2 : 30 pm, every other weekend, and every other holiday.
Job Summary
As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our residents in long-term care. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will deliver resident-centered nursing care and assist with daily living activities, ensuring a respectful and dignified experience.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the health and safety of each resident.
- Provide necessary support for transferring, repositioning, and ambulating residents using proper techniques.
- Prepare and assist with meals, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Document resident care and communicate any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Carry out housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean living environment.
- Encourage resident participation in wellness and recreational programs.
