80Twenty is a boutique recruitment agency that connects high-growth companies with exceptional candidates.

Our client is an early stage company focused on bringing solar lighting infrastructure to communities. Having seen strong success in the Florida market, they are expanding to additional states.

They are seeking a Business Development Representative to join their founding sales team team. The BDR will be responsible for generating high-quality leads and driving business growth through proactive outreach and strategic networking.

Successful candidates will have an opportunity to grow their career quickly.

This is an onsite role based in Tampa.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Research and qualify leads to assess interest and preparedness to engage with the company's solar streetlighting solutions.
  • Engage and nurture potential clients through diverse channels, including cold outreach, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
  • Update and manage sales activities, opportunities, and account information in Hubspot and Apollo.io.
  • Provide timely and comprehensive feedback to sales team on market insights, lead quality, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and optimize lead generation efforts.
  • Identify the needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products or services.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market by occasionally attending conferences and networking events.
  • Set up meetings or calls between prospective customers and sales executives.
  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of proven experience in lead generation, inside sales, or related roles required.
  • Understanding of sales processes, lead qualification methodologies, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.
  • A deep desire to be part of creating something unique and who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Ability to comprehend complex problems and explain them in a simple and relevant way.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-sufficient with ability to solve unique problems creatively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactively identifies issues that require resolution or follow up and taking steps or making recommendations to resolve.
  • Person of high ethics, integrity, honesty with lots of passion, drive, and a sense of humor.

Benefits :

  • $60,000 - $65,000 / year base, depending on experience, with OTW estimated at $85,000.
